Working at the Car Wash!

Toddler 1

In the past couple of weeks, Raiden had been talking all about the car wash she went too and soon the rest of the class were talking about it too! Our inquisitive toddlers had a lot of questions about the car wash and wanted to know more. Since there was such an interest in car washes, we decided to have one of our own!

Educator Aly got creative and made a car wash to go onto one of the tuff trays along with various tools to clean our cars. When the children walked into the classroom in the morning they were very excited to see it all set up along with some water play. Some of the children used big sponges to clean the tops of the cars, while others used rags. We even got out some toothbrushes to get into the small spaces in the tires. We incorporated the use of our fine motor skills by squeezing spray bottles to 'rinse' off our soapy cars.

The interest continued throughout the day as we heard the children talking about washing the cars. We wonder if we can make a toddler sized car wash outside when the weather gets warmer?
